The unit you receive

This listing is the AudioQuest PowerQuest 3, model PQ3. The PowerQuest 2 and the PowerQuest G8 are different products. The plug is the standard three-prong plug used in the United States and Canada.

Two outlets are the high-current pair, for a receiver, a powered speaker, or a subwoofer. Two outlets add AudioQuest’s video filter. Four more outlets are the remaining linear-filter outlets. Four USB-A ports share 4.8 amps. There is no USB-C port. A USB-C device needs its own cable or adapter, and that adapter is not in the box. Phone, Ethernet, and coaxial jacks are on the unit for those cables.

AudioQuest rates the surge protection as non-sacrificial, for repeated 6,000 V / 3,000 A events. Above 140 VAC the main relay opens in under 0.25 seconds and resets when the line is back in range. AudioQuest rates differential-mode noise reduction above 22 dB from 30 kHz to 1 GHz, and common-mode reduction above 22 dB from 30 kHz to 100 MHz. Those are AudioQuest’s filter ratings. This shop does not claim a change in picture or sound. The maximum current is 15 amps. The attached cord is about 7 feet. AudioQuest also lists that cord as 2 m. Size is about 15.5 × 7.4 × 3.2 inches. Weight is 5.5 lb. A detachable stand is included, so the unit can sit upright or on a shelf. AudioQuest’s warranty on the unit is 5 years. A dealer’s return window is not this shop’s policy.
