How long a power station runs a fridge

A fridge is the load that decides the size. Watt-hours are the tank. Keep the door shut and you get more hours than the label math suggests.

The simple math

A typical full-size fridge uses about 1–2 kWh in a day. Mini-fridges sit lower. The compressor is not on the whole time, so a 150 W nameplate is not 150 W × 24 hours. After inverter loss, treat usable energy as a bit under the station’s watt-hour rating.

Starting watts matter once: the compressor kick can be several times running watts. The 800 W RIVER 2 Pro is a poor match for many full-size fridges. The 1,500–2,400 W units in this shop are the ones built to start that load.

By tank size

768 Wh. Skip a full-size fridge. Use the RIVER 2 Pro for phones, a router, and lights.

~1 kWh. Several hours of fridge, not a full night plus everything else. Jackery 1000 v2 if you want it light. Anker C1000 if you want 1,800 W. BLUETTI AC180 if you want the most watt-hours in this group.

~2 kWh. Overnight fridge is the point. Jackery 2000 v2 at 40 lb, or DELTA 2 Max if you also want more watts and expansion.

Stretch the hours

Pre-cool the box before the outage if you have warning. Leave the door closed. Skip the freezer-to-fridge trick unless you know the food safety rules. Do not run a microwave off the same station if the fridge is the job.
