This listing is the HIKMICRO Pocket2, model HM-TP42-3AQF/W-Pocket2. The thermal sensor is 256 by 192, which is 49,152 pixels, with thermal sensitivity under 40 mK. The picture updates at 25 Hz. An 8 megapixel camera sits beside it. You can view thermal, visual, fusion, picture-in-picture, or a blend of the two. SuperIR sharpens the thermal view on the live screen and on saved images. The screen is a 3.5-inch touch LCD, 640 by 480, and it rotates.
HIKMICRO rates the measurement range from −20°C to 400°C (−4°F to 752°F), split into a lower range and an upper range. The stated accuracy is the larger of ±2°C or ±2%, when the room is between 15°C and 35°C and the object is above 0°C. Focus is fixed. The closest useful distance is about 0.3 m (1 ft). The view is 50° by 37.2°. Digital zoom runs from 1× to 4×. An LED work light is built in.
Memory is 16 GB inside the camera, enough for about 60,000 images. Wi-Fi is 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz. Bluetooth is 4.2. A rechargeable lithium-ion battery is inside the body. HIKMICRO rates it at about 4 hours of continuous use and about 2.5 hours to charge over USB-C at 5 V / 2 A. The body is about 5.45 by 3.35 by 0.93 inches and about 218 g (7.7 oz). It is IP54 and drop-rated to 2 meters. A 1/4-20 thread takes a tripod.
In the box: the camera, a wrist strap, a USB-A to USB-C cable, a soft pouch, a printed quick guide, and a calibration certificate. HIKMICRO does not include a wall power supply on units built after July 2024. Charge it from a USB-C supply you already have. This is a thermal camera, not a power station, and not the US-only PocketC.
