The unit you receive
This listing is the Siglent SDG2042X function and arbitrary waveform generator. It is not an oscilloscope. The shop’s oscilloscope is the SDS804X HD. Sine goes to 40 MHz. Square and pulse go to 25 MHz. Ramp goes to 1 MHz. Arbitrary replay goes to 20 MHz. There are two channels. The sample rate is 1.2 GSa/s with 4× interpolation. Vertical resolution is 16-bit. Waveform length is 8 points to 8 Mpts. TrueArb runs from 1 µSa/s to 75 MSa/s. The built-in library holds 196 waveforms.
Amplitude into a high-impedance load is up to 20 Vpp, which is ±10 V. Into 50 ohms that amplitude is halved. Into high impedance, the range is 2 mVpp to 20 Vpp at 20 MHz and below, and 2 mVpp to 10 Vpp above 20 MHz. Output impedance is 50 ohms. Modulation covers AM, DSB-AM, FM, PM, FSK, ASK, PSK, PWM, sweep, and burst.
The screen is 480×272. Interfaces on the unit are USB Host, USB Device (USBTMC), and LAN (VXI-11). GPIB needs a USB-GPIB adapter, and that adapter is not included. The rear panel has a frequency counter, aux in and out, and 10 MHz reference in and out. Power is 100–240 V, 50/60 Hz, 50 W maximum. Size is 260.3 × 107.2 × 295.7 mm. Net weight is 3.43 kg, about 7.6 lb.
The box is a quick start, a product certification, a power cord, a USB cable, a CD with the quick start, the datasheet, and the application software, a calibration certificate, and a BNC coaxial cable. EasyWave is that application software, on the CD or as Siglent’s current download. A power amplifier, a 20 dB attenuator, and the USB-GPIB adapter are not included.
Siglent’s datasheet lists a one-year calibration interval. That interval is not a warranty from this shop. Siglent Technologies NA publishes a 3-year warranty on the instrument when the unit is bought through Siglent America or an approved North American distributor. That period starts on the authorized invoice. This shop does not add its own warranty. A dealer’s return window is not this shop’s policy.
