The unit you receive
This listing is the Siglent SSA3021X Plus. It is a spectrum analyzer. It is not an oscilloscope, and it is not the SDG2042X function generator. It is not the SSA3021X without the Plus. Resolution bandwidth is 1 Hz to 1 MHz in a 1-3-10 sequence. The screen is a 10.1-inch multi-touch display, 1024×600, with 751 points and 4 traces.
The preamplifier is standard. With the preamp on, the typical displayed average noise level is −161 dBm/Hz from 10 MHz to 200 MHz. The specified figure in that band is −156 dBm/Hz. Other bands are noisier, and the datasheet table is the full set. At 1 GHz and a 10 kHz offset, phase noise is −95 dBc/Hz, typical −99 dBc/Hz. Total amplitude accuracy is ±0.7 dB under the datasheet conditions: 20 °C to 30 °C, frequency above 100 kHz, input from −50 dBm to 0 dBm, 20 dB attenuation, 1 kHz resolution and video bandwidth, peak detector, preamp off.
US dealers include the tracking generator with this model. The datasheet lists that license as SSA3000XP-TG. Output level is −20 dBm to 0 dBm. The RF input and the tracking-generator output are N connectors, 50 ohms. Maximum DC on the input is ±50 V. The damage level of 33 dBm applies only at 10 MHz and above, with the attenuator above 20 dB and the preamp off. The front panel also has a USB-A host port and a 3.5 mm earphone jack. The rear panel has USB-B, LAN, 10 MHz reference in and out, and an external trigger input. GPIB needs a USB-GPIB adapter, and that adapter is not included.
These licenses and kits are not included: advanced measurement SSA3000XP-AMK, EMI SSA3000XP-EMI, reflection SSA3000XP-Refl, the reflection bridge, and modulation analysis SSA3000XP-DMA and SSA3000XP-AMA. A timed trial of an optional kit is not a license that stays on. RF cables, a mouse, and a keyboard are not in the box. The datasheet’s standard accessories are a quick start, a USB cable, and a power cord.
Power is 100–240 V, 50/60 Hz. The datasheet lists 35 W for this model. Size is 393 × 207 × 116.5 mm, width by height by depth. Net weight is 4.40 kg, 9.7 lb. Siglent Technologies NA publishes a 3-year warranty on the instrument when the unit is bought through Siglent America or an approved North American distributor. That period starts on the authorized invoice. This shop does not add its own warranty. A dealer’s return window is not this shop’s policy.
